Videotape

Videotape began as an obsessive portrait series of my partner and has grown over seven years (2015-2022) into a diary that attempts to talk about the pain connected to romantic relationships. 

In order to develop a picture of the changes that occur in a long-term relationship, the small parts that make it up, what it is in the first place, no consideration can be given to media uniformity. Smartphone snapshots, analogue 35mm photos, short diary-like text snippets or video recordings – whatever is available and best suited to the moment at hand is used to get a little closer to the big picture.
